Teaching during the pandemic has not been easy - more with children younger than 6 years old.
Here's where we come in. Our worksheets have been distributed with children in unaided schools so all the teachers need are pictures, at least once a week, of the child having done some work on it. Maybe not as efficient as we would like it to be - but it's a start all the same.
Healthy eating begins young - open discussions with younger children help them make better food choices as they get older.
Beginning with identifying fruits and vegetables to growing and picking it themselves, the Poshan Maah initiative aims at doing exactly that.

We all know that educating children during this pandemic has been one of our biggest challenges.
Three teachers from Anganwadis in Pampakuda, Kerala went out of their way to keep learning alive during the CoViD lockdown through online arts fests coordinated by The Ashoka Tree.
We are truly grateful for your efforts and hope you continue to inspire children and educators everywhere.

It’s always interesting how the world changes.
Five months on, from the day our children last went to an anganwadi, The Ashoka Tree online dress-up competitions have revealed new entrants!
Look out for the coronavirus and lady selling masks!
