It's a simple life, and breaking it down into the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' makes it even simpler.
You get just once chance to do things right. One chance to help. One chance to spread a smile. One chance to make a change.
What can you do today to be the change you want to see in the world?
What can you do to spread that smile?

At The Ashoka Tree, we work towards bridging the gap between those of us who do 'have' so much to live comfortably and those who 'have not' enough to barely cover themselves with on a rainy day.
Our primary work involves children (between the ages of 2 - 6) in unaided play schools across the country. To this effect, we try to ensure every child has a story to listen to or a book to read.
Ultimately, another child with a pencil today, means another child in school tomorrow.
We work with like-minded folks towards ensuring underprivileged children and families have basic necessities like clothes, books and toys as well attempt to provide facilities for better education and living.
We identify means for a dignified livelihood, making a real difference to the lives of hitherto invisible people.
We aspire to influence the decisions of people throughout different strata of society for a more equal and responsible civilization.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

We believe the early years are the foundation to who you are later in life.
We aim to provide books and toys, stationery, first-aid kits and more in unaided play schools across India.
We conduct workshops to supplement education at these anganwadis with play, singing, dancing, art and craft.
The Ashoka Tree aims to ensure every 2-6-year-old has toys and books at her local play-school.
