​The Helping Hands initiative acts as a platform for The Ashoka Tree to connect Anganwadis and patrons together with the objective of augmenting the existing government efforts towards the betterment of women and children in the local community.
 
Each requirement list, as submitted by the CDPO/Supervisor in an area is first verified by The Ashoka Tree and subsequently put up on the requirement list on their website. Donors will then be able to view

• Total requirements of Anganwadis in the area
• Photographs and pricing of items required
• Actual quantity of items required

 
Patrons could choose to donate actual items from the list or monetary funds towards these requirements. The Ashoka Tree already has a system in place wherein donors are notified of where their donations are used as well as photographic evidence on social media of the actual items donated. Further, The Ashoka Tree prefers that donors take time out to visit Anganwadis (if they are in the area) to physically see the change they are managing to bring about.
