It's not easy getting back on your feet when something on the scale of this happens to anyone.
This is what we're doing to help. What are you doing to #HelpKerala? #Care #Volunteer

There's not an Indian around who hasn't had 'that' Mallu friend - the one with spicy pickle and those banana chips. There's not an Indian around who hasn't heard a 'mallu' joke - 'jest' because its funny.
It's time to come around and help. We've had an absolutely miserable past 10 days in Kerala, and with the flood waters just about letting up and rain decreasing (fingers crossed), we could do with help. The Ashoka Tree will accept physical donations (from out of Kerala) after August 27th when road access is completely back to normal. Until then, we will continue with donating sanitary pads, nighties and dhotis and basic toiletries in relief camps. Next week on, all our donations will be distributed through angnawadis in affected areas - this way we know that material actually reaches people who need it. Do your little bit to help. Every rupee counts. #HelpKerala http://www.theashokatree.org/donate.html The entire country is following the flood situation in Kerala. The affected areas need supplies and support. Please contact the numbers on the poster to contribute. Sujatha Menon
