Isolation Ward, Ernakulam General Hospital

We work with the patients at the Isolation Ward/Destitute Ward in the Ernakulam General Hospital.

The Isolation Ward has just 24 beds and over 50 patients on any given day - destitute patients have no 'bystanders' or people who can help them change or eat, let alone use the bathroom.  Our patients are invariably homeless and have no income that can provide for their medical aid.  

The Ashoka Tree provides donated/new bed sheets and towels, toiletries as well as nightwear for both men and women.  We also provide sanitary pads and adult diapers.
